What is UL2272?
UL2272 is a fire safety standard from the US for electric scooters and hoverboards that pass rigorous testing. As of July 2019, Singapore’s LTA mandates all e-scooters sold must meet UL2272 standards. From 1 Jan 2021, only UL2272-certified scooters are allowed on public paths.
What is the latest LTA requirement for e-scooters?
Only UL2272-certified scooters are legal from 1 Jan 2021. Non-certified ones could be used until 31 Dec 2020.
What is UL2272 certification?
A U.S. safety certification for mobility devices, tested against electrical, mechanical, and environmental standards like water and temperature resistance.
Why is UL2272 certification important?
It helps prevent fires caused by defective or modified e-scooters. It ensures devices meet safety standards enforced by SPRING Singapore and the LTA.
How do I select an E-Scooter that is suitable for me?
Consider:

Speed: Must not exceed 25km/h per LTA rules.

Weight: Important for ease of use and portability.

Millage (range): Pick based on your daily travel needs.

Is there a way for me to try out the scooters before deciding?
Yes. Visit their retail store at Woodlands Bizhub #01-15, 737854. Directions from Admiralty MRT provided.
What is the warranty policy for your scooters?
Warranty varies per model. Extended plans are available. Repairs are done in-house at their service center.
What is a PMD?
PMD = Personal Mobility Device (e.g., electric scooters). Current regulations are only proposed but not enforced. No official seal yet.
I used Singapore Normal Mail and haven’t received my item?
Normal Mail has no tracking and WarehouseSG is not responsible for lost mail. Registered delivery is recommended.
My item (e.g. scooter) is faulty, what should I do?
Bring it to their center with the warranty card/paper.
What is the trial about bringing PMDs on public transport?
From Dec 1, 2016, a 6-month trial allows foldable bikes and PMDs on public transport all day if they meet these dimensions:

Max Width: 40cm
Devices must be folded and off, and not taken to staircases or double-decker bus upper decks.
How is overseas shipping handled?
Not available. Services are local to Singapore only.
Can I self-collect my order (in Singapore)?
Yes. Either walk-in at retail store (21 Woodlands Close, #08-01) or choose self-collection on the website. You’ll be notified via email when ready.
How do I know if my order is successfully submitted?
You will be contacted within 24 hours to confirm and make payment.
How do I know if my order is being shipped?
You will receive an online notification about shipping date.
How long does it take to process an order?

Weekdays: Orders after 6:00 PM processed next day.
